So command-shift 3 gives you a file on your desktop on Mac?

Not that I'd switch to Mac for that though.

Yep it makes a PDF file on my desktop. I open with Preview (Mac photo viewer) and convert to JPEG. Takes about 10 seconds.

Try to resize on your computer first and then upload. Instead of letting the forum software resize. See if that helps.

Dont know how to do that resizing thing. The Santa one is only 12kb and I stole it off someone else's Avatar.

ive always hit print screen and paste into paint. ive always thought this was very fast and works well and you can save as jpeg if you want.

Dimensions also need to be within 100x100.

It's best to resize the dimensions and file size on your own computer. Then the avatar image should not be altered once uploaded.
