Question saving screen shots

Anybody know of an easy way to save screen shots? Currently I press Ctrl+Print Screen, open Photoshop, then file/new, edit and finally paste.

There's got to be an easier way. Also, I'd rather not download and install another program for this.

TIA

I hit print screen and then paste in photoshop. Photoshop starting up is the PITA for me, it can take forever with CS2.

I just did a quick search and there are a bunch of utilities out there for making them quickly.

I just hit "Print Screen" and pasted it into Paint.

Paint does load faster than photoshop. I guess I'll start doing that.

Too bad there's no key sequence you could just do. Like press Ctrl and Print Screen, then enter and you have a file on your desktop. Now that would be fast and easy.

Does paint save as Jpegs? The only reason I use Photoshop is to make the image smaller, crop it and save it for web.

the simple image viewer acdsee classic lets you crop images down for the web. Used with paint, it is the fastest sceencap or thumbnail maker.

Least for me.
