In my previous thread I had mentioned about an old lady that had a 12k original mile car for sale near my house. I wasn't planning on buying this car bc she wanted 8k for the car and monst of my extra cash is going towards 747 and the rally D. I was talking to her son today after a potential sale fell through and he said if you got 5k its yours..Couldn't pass that up so I'm picking her up in the morning. I'll post some pics tomorrow afternoon or monday.

Yea, it's a real bargain. Something you will have to dump $10K into. The vendors love customers like this. At least you are starting in the right area, cleaning out the fuel tank and replacing the battery. Check all of the fluid levels and try driving the car so you can get a feel for what works and what doesn't. Make up a list and a budget. If you buy a bunch of stuff all at once you can get a discount from the vendors. If the tires are over 7 years old don't drive fast or far on them. Once you get it moving replace ALL of the fluids. Get another key made right away if you don't have 2. Inspect the frame for rust and clean the car inside and out. In the meantime get insurance on it and make sure you can Title it before you spend any big bucks on it.
