Many years ago my grandpa bought some big car that had big fin fenders. They had a two stall garage with two separte doors. My Grandma said to my grandpa "if you ever have a beer you are going to scratch it." My grandpa went to meeting one night had a couple drinks that night and he hit the garage. This happened almost fifty years ago.

What I'm looking for is old chevys that had big fin fenders.

At the time my grandpa owned chevys.

Any ideas?

57 Bel-Air had them. And then 59 Impala had ones that looked like "batwings". Actually any Chevy car made during the 57-60 period should have them.

My dad had a 57 Chevy wagon with them. I think the gas filler was inside a door on the fin.

The 59 Cadillac Coupe Deville sets the standard for fins. They only get smaller before and after that.

Are you looking to purchase one of these large finned cars or just hunting pictures and what not?
