Default should I "pimp" my ride?

I love the look of the stainless lettering on the rear bumper, but I am trying to keep the car as stock as possible (aside from upgrades such as stainless bottle, new relays, fuel pump etc...)
Should I go for the lettering? Where is the best place to order them from?

I know...stainless lettering is not exactly alot of bling....

Do what you like, don't let others persuade to to do it their way.
If you like the look put it on.
I like the look of the stainless DMC on the door sill, but I want to keep it stock more, so I leave it.
I hear P J Grady has the DeLorean stainless insert.

Yeah, you should do it. It is relatively cheap and adds a lot to the look of the car IMHO. The only real question is do you want the "positive" image or the "negative" image?

Any modifacation you can reverse without making holes is a "No Brainer". Go for it. In fact, IMHO it improves the look by making the lettering stand out. Without the inserts you can hardly see the embossed letters. The inserts for the doorsills also looks nice and is easily removable. Buy where you get the best deal. One thing to be careful about. You must clean the surface VERY WELL! Do it several times and then do it again. You don't want the letters falling off! No one is selling individual letters.

I would hardly call bumper letters "pimpin".

DMC itself colored in the bumper letters for photos.

I would get them from Grady. That's where I'm going to buy mine. They are less expensive than Houston's. I think Houston wants about $80 whereas Grady charges about $50. In my opinion, the choice is clear. Good Luck.

I got mine from Grady and love them. It to make's the car more complete. As stated before it just seems like it is missing something if they arn't there.

First it's letters in the bumper, next it's a calculator built into the steering wheel.

Just kidding! Make it your own! If it's an investment, seal it in a vault. Otherwise enjoy the car in whatever way you see fit!

My vote is to go for it. I got some of Video Bob's silver stickers and I would advise with the stainless steel ones for two reasons. One, they match the car better and two, mine are already peeling off. I did buy them second hand but they were unused and looked great on the car for about a week then I drove the car in the summer heat so that may have had something to do with it.

SOMETIMES I think we should stick to persuasion...
