Delorean Cars highlighted at the 2009 Palo Alto Concours - DMCTalk.com forums

Huge turn out yesterday for the 43rd annual Palo Alto Concours D'elegance in Palo Alto California.

By request of the event staff, I had the opportunity to bring my car up on the main stage, for a presentation about the Delorean. They had the "resident car expert" up there, and talked about the cars that they choose to bring up. This year they asked for a Delorean.

It was a fun, rare, and unique opportunity to bring the car up on the stage, get out and talk about it in front of this kind of crowd.

Looks like you were floating a bit in the last pic

Thats really cool. Is yours legal for a concours with the foglights?(Which look good btw, that area is just begging for some aux. lighting.)

I believe there is a massive difference b/t the DeLorean community approved concours versus this type of event. Just b/c the word is used does not mean they have the concours manual and therefore judge the DeLoreans there against the manual like at "our" car shows. It literally takes hours to judge a DMC against the manual, that just isn't going to happen at any other "regular" concours event.

TRUE, in this case. They were not super Delorean knowledgeable, but they did look for originality. I prob lost points for the fog lights but I dont care. When on the hwy, I like the additional visibility for other cars (so they see ME, not the other way around), as well as many other mods.
