Default A PRV is a Volvo B28F, so. . .

A Delorean PRV is essentially a Volvo B28F, and Volvo 760's and 780's came equipped with a PRV B280F. Is a B280F the same thing as a B280? (I know the differences between a B28F and a B280, just to let you know!)

I'm also working with Megasquirt on another vehicle of mine and plan to find ways to use it on the Delorean.

I've got some data for you, from the www, don't remember where it came from. There's a B280F and B280E listed, but not a B280. The B280F is described in the Haynes Volvo 740 & 760 book, but not the B280 or B280E.

The parts of the DMC PRV that are shared with the B28F I've never seen a list of, although most (?) of the engine is the same. For example, look here: http://www.dmctalk.com/showthread.php?t=6072 for a discussion on the coolant Y pipe variations.

This is a Volvo press release that briefly explains the two b280 variations; e and f. The b280e has a higher output due to different cams, timing, and according to the press release different heads. I've also heard that it has a higher compression ratio.

Check the turbobricks forum for more info on b280 engines.

That's the simplest I've seen these engines described! Thanks Eddie!
