Keep in mind, DMCH has different motivations than others (like you Josh). They have a warehouse full of parts they want to sell. Included in those parts are lots of engines. For that reason, I think they are looking for a solution that retains as many stock DMC parts as possible. That may be why they don't go to EFI, or Even fire 3.0L, or forged internals, or a new intake.

From a performance point of view, I think you (and other non-DMC vendors) have less constraints on you. However, I think any "bolt on kit" to a stock DMC motor will be expensive, and have limited performance gains without blowing the thing up.
That is why I chose to stay on my own. This way:
-I can do whatever I want
-build whatever I want
-yank cars from all four corners of the lower 48 without stepping on another franchise
-answer to one person (me most of the time....)
etc etc etc.

I have gone through countless hours and engines during development. and the first thing I figured out was get away from the 2.8 odd fire to keep it affordable.

Best luck to everyone over the winter with projects etc. We will see in the spring how things shape up for different company projects.

So if you're getting away from the 2.8 odd fire (I assume that means engine swap), is that for your higher output packages? I ask because as you know from our PMs, I will be interested in a high output package two years or so from now.

I just moved over to the 3.0 for various reasons. Sean recommended that I move all performance and product talk to my blog on here. I will be doing that shortly.

Please check there for further updates so that I do not post in a million threads.
