So I don't know nearly as much about my dad as I would like, but still he was my dad, and often at the shows I get so hounded I rarely have time to think abou tand answer questions people may have. I may not have all the answers you want, but I may have some insight you'd like. If there is something you would like to know ask away here and I will answer as best I can, or try and find you the answer. Be forewarned, if you tick me off I will let you know ;)

Wow, this is quite a treat!

From the outside looking in, it looks as though your father had a VAST knowlege of securities law, corporations and business law in general. I would expect that he kept close counsel with the experts, but that he was in fact incredibly astute in these areas himself... and not through formal education. Was he the wiz that I think he was? Who did he rely on for advice the most?

What years would you put as the 'high point' of your Dad's life after the company?

Who was he friends with/ who did he admire that you think would surprise us?

Did your father ever talk about the Irish workers who built his dream? He still has quite a following over here with every person who worked in the factory.

His greatest accomplishment (aside from making me of course ) he would tell me was helping out the Irish. He was always so very proud, and he told me about the work ethic, the people, the country. Despite all the trouble it ended up causing him in the end, he never regretted building his car there.

My father's connections, friends and stories were seemingly endless and never ceased to amaze me. In his hayday he was friends with them all and would tell me histerical stories about Bill Lear (I think that was his name) the Lear jet guy, he was a character.

My father was the most brilliant man I have ever known and probably will evr know in my life, he was every bit as intelligent as he appears or is legended to be and I don't say that just because he is my dad. My mother will put her animosity aside to correct anyone who would say otherwise. He was always inventing new things, thinking of novel ways to do things and ALWAYS reading and learning about something, right until the day he died.

The man he turned to advice from most was Christ and his friends that were left towards the end were not famous people, but they were very close to him.

The high point of his life after the company, well I cannot answer that, but I will think about it and let you know if I come up with something.

My mother and I are very close, after a long and difficult journey to get there wwe had to reach a point of giving up before we could rebuild. Today she is a cornerstone in my life and my stepfather is a second father to me, and has been for a lot of my life. Recently we have become very close, and they are both extremely involved in every part of my life.

Stepmom ? She has everything, we want to get it from her, my father kept a journal everyday of his life and I want those, along with his blueprints and other family hearilooms. My brother an I cannot afford a probate attorney and it has turned out to be a big mess.
