It is a 1985 Sinclair C5 and has quite an interesting story. :roll:

Yesterday, I found myself riding in a particular vehicle (not a DeLorean). Here are some of it's features:

Two-seater.
Developed in Europe during the late 1970's.
Constructed mostly of steel, stainless steel, and fiberglass.
Gull-wing doors supported by two gas struts.
Black leather seats.

I was shocked to note that I bright red Bricklin drove past me about 1/3 of my way home. I only got enough of a look to note that it had Kentucky plates on it, but thought that it was pretty cool and rare to see one here in town.

To my surprise and delight I found that it was parked at the steakhouse just around the corner from my own house, and I swung through the parking lot and confirmed that it did indeed have a Fayette county plate- meaning it was very much local. At this point I couldn't resist, and scooted on home on the bike, quickly changed from my biking clothes to normal ones, and drove my D over and pulled in just as the driver was closing his door and pulling out. He of course stopped and opened the passenger door when he saw me open the door of my D and step out of the car, and said, "I thought I had the only gullwing car here in town!"

Turns out he's lived here in Lexington about as long as I've had my D, and was also at DCS a month ago- I just didn't notice that any of the cars had local plates (and 16655 still had its Georgia plates then...). We chatted for a while and I got his business card (I was unfortunately out of mine, which has since been rectified...). I imagine I'll see him and his car at local car shows/cruise-ins once I start going to them actively. My car is outside year round under a car cover. I always told people my car was like a BBQ grill during the summer, so that's why I decided to zap it for the sake of wasting time.

Yep... she's at 161.3 at the time I was able to hit the shutter on my phone. Not to mention, this is still covered.

For comparison, I decided to take the temperature of my Chrysler:

Quite a difference between the two! I then shot the D without the cover on it, and it was 164 at the roof.

I should have it done in a week or so and then it's off to it's new home up northeast.

The greatest highlight of this build has to be the new exterior lighting system. This is an LED Neon based system and man, it's bright. Totally blows my old EL wire system out of the water.

I still have a few minor hoses and details to finish up here and there, but I should have this one done and off to it's new owner in a week or so.

Then I can fianlly get back to rebuilding my own BTTF-D
